🧭 What Mission Control is

4 min read

Mission Control gives you a squad of AI agents that work like a team - you hand out missions, they do the work, and anything that genuinely needs your judgment comes back to you as a ticket. That last part is the whole trick: you stop being the person who does everything and become the person who decides a few things a day.

Five words carry the entire product. Learn these and every screen explains itself:

Squad - your agents. One lead agent coordinates; specialists own lanes like outreach, support, research, or content. You talk to any of them in Chat, or to all of them in the Squad channel.

Mission - a unit of work you delegate. It lives on the Mission Control board and moves from Backlog to In flight to Done - you can watch progress live on every card.

Ticket - a question only you can answer. When an agent hits a decision it should not make alone (spend money? send this to a customer? pick between two directions?), it blocks the mission and opens a ticket in My Tickets. You answer in seconds; work resumes without you chasing anything.

Run - one execution by one agent: a scheduled job, a chat reply, an email triage pass. The Runs screen is your flight recorder - every run, its duration, its cost in tokens, and what it touched.

Doc - durable output. Agents don’t just answer and forget; they write and maintain living documents - competitor briefs, playbooks, weekly reports - in Docs.

💡 Tip: The flywheel: delegate → agents work → a ticket if it needs you → you decide in seconds → work ships → the squad remembers it in Memory. Every playbook in these docs is that loop, pointed at a different part of your business.

The six surfaces, left to right in the sidebar:

Home - your morning briefing: what happened, what needs you, today’s schedule, credit usage.

Mission Control - the board. Every mission, its status, and the My Tickets tab where your decisions queue.

Email - each agent can have a real inbox. Drafts wait for your approval; urgent things escalate to you; rules keep it safe.

Docs - the squad’s shared brain. Everything they produce, organized in folders, always current.

Live Feed - everything as it happens, with a “while you were away” summary when you return.

Runs - the flight recorder. When you wonder “what did my squad actually do today?”, the answer is here with receipts.

One honest note before you dive in: agents run on your AI subscriptions (Claude, ChatGPT, MiniMax, or Z.AI - connected in Settings → AI Tokens), and research tools use credits with visible caps. Nothing spends silently; the Costs & credits article shows exactly where every unit goes.
